Dunlop Aerogel 4D 500 Lite Tennis Racket
The Dunlop Aerogel 4D 500 Lite Tennis Racket is one of Dunlop's best-selling performance tennis rackets from their Aerogel performance racket series.
The Dunlop Aerogel 4D 500 Lite tennis racket combines a conventional headshape design and headlight balance to provide players of all standards with a perfect mix of power and control. The conventional frame geometry increases the trampoline power produced by the head design whilst 4D braided strengthening technology reduces frame twist to ensure that maximum power is transferred into every shot.
The Dunlop Aerogel 4D 500 Lite has a versatile racket design engineered with an extremely lightweight, graphite frame for control and excellent manoeuvrability and also benefits from 4D braided technology which increasing stiffness to enhance the touch and stability of the racket.
A 100% graphite construction combining Aerogel and 4D braiding technology, the Dunlop Aerogel 4D Lite is designed for game-improvers who desire a very light racket. 4D Braided carbons placed strategically at 3, 9, 5 and 7 o'clock position improves stability of the racket and greatly enhancing touch and feel making the power of the racket easier to control. The super lightweight construction makes this racket extremely manoeuvrable and easy to control.
Dunlop Aerogel is the world's lightest solid and remarkably offers a frame strength of up to 4000 times its own weight. Dunlop Aerogel 4D technology comprises four directional braiding to offer increased strength and enhanced flexibility - four times more effective than carbon, only one layer of 4D braiding is required, rather than 4 layers of standard carbon, which helps deliver exceptional touch and feel at ball contact without additional weight. The multi-dimensional nano-sized molecular construction delivers an unmatched strength to weight ratio for enhanced racket stiffness and increased power, all without increasing weight. Dunlop Aerogel 4D braided technology uses four braided fibres of superlight S-glass fibre wrapped in an aluminium alloy sheath in four directions. The multi directional orientation of the fibres enables stresses to be supported in multiple directions, whereas standard carbon sheets are only oriented in one direction. The result is that one layer of Dunlop 4D material has the equivalent properties to four layers of standard carbon layered up at different directions, allowing Dunlop to produce lightweight rackets with for superb touch and feel at ball contact.
